About Louise Avery, why I love flowers and how it all started

If you love flowers as much as me………….then we are in for a great journey!
I just love flowers. I always have done. This love goes way back, to when I was quite young and I’d help my mum in the garden. She gave me a small corner of the garden and planted Mesembryanthemums or the Livingstone daisy. It was my job to look after and tend them…………look them up, they are little stunners. Anyway, they flowered all summer long and that was it, I was hooked on flowers from then on!
I’ve enjoyed a whole career within the flower industry. From florist shops in the west-end of London to a private flower school in Surrey and from professionally freelancing to running my own flower business that specialises in weddings. I’ve loved every flower and petal along the journey.
No mid-life career jump for me, it’s always been about flowers.
So far there’s been lots of floral highlights. Being invited to join the small teams of florists for not one, but two royal weddings is definitely up there. Firstly for Charles & Camilla in Windsor and then for William and Kate at Westminster Abbey, what an absolute honour!
