Luxury Hampshire Wedding Florist- Creating a stunning Tithe Barn Autumn Wedding for Steph and Dave
This beautiful wedding called for Luxe florals. Louise Avery Flowers, a luxury Hampshire wedding florist provided just that! Steph and Dave chose a rich colour palette of autumn berry shades for their stunning October wedding. The wedding took place in the amazing architectural Tithe Barn at Ditcham. Ditcham is a small hamlet near Petersfield and in the heart of rural Hampshire and the South Downs National Park.
Brides Bouquet and Grooms Buttonhole
Steph chose to carry a trailing shower bouquet. Further to this choice, to achieve the bridal shower shape, I made the bouquet using traditional floristry wiring techniques. By using these techniques I ensured that the flowers could be fashioned into a natural and soft flowing shape.
In terms of colour, velvety jewel shades were selected. This colour pallet was backed-up with a carefully, curated, selection of seasonal foliages and berries. I introduced loads of added texture to run throughout both of the bridal flowers and men’s buttonholes when these seasonal elements.
Luxury Wedding Breakfast Guest Table Designs
Chic and shiny, silver chrome branch candelabra played centre stage to the guest table centrepieces. Along with the candelabra, cascading florals and ivory taper dinner candles decorated the incredibly high ceiling space. Naturally, all of the table decorations of course were completely above head height. It follows that this is an absolute stipulation of mine, meaning that the sight lines for the guests as they dined were completely clear. NO OBSCURED VIEWS!
The Cake!
The amazing cake was made by Gemma of Tartufi Cakes who is also based in Hampshire. Gemma and I often work on weddings together and Steph and Dave’s Tithe Barn Wedding provided another opportunity to collaborate. Through the wedding prep and my flower consultations I always ask for the cake designers details. I then liaise directly with the cake maker to make sure that any flowers that might be required can coordinate. So on this occasion, I supplied a bucket of flowers, foliages, fruits and berries that would link to the other floral decorations. While Gemma then arrived to the venue to set up the cake. Then, with her very own magic Gemma added my flowers to this beautiful crate, cake design. As both Hampshire wedding florist and cake maker we are proud to provide 5* luxury cakes, flowers and a complete and personalised service.
The Tithe Barn is a Luxury Hampshire Wedding Venue
With almost cathedral-like, floor to ceiling stone arches the Tithe Barn is a real, rural, wedding venue gem. Because the proportions of the Tithe Barn are so vast and with such high ceilings, I always suggest using that space were-ever possible. It followed through on this occasion with tall trees to do the job for us here, together with urns of flowers. The flower urns were placed on stone coloured plinths for added height and prominence.
Autumn Colours and Textures
Autumn colours and textures were really celebrated with the use of callicarpa which are metallic-like shiny purple berries. Then continuing with the berry element red toned hypericum berried were also added. For the florals, gorgeous ruffle petaled roses and wisps of thlaspi gave Stephanie’s bouquet texture. Working texture into the tall candelabra table designs was achieved with glorious tails of claret red amaranthus. To combine the colours, a palette of rich purples ran though to claret reds with juicy raspberry pinks bringing them altogether.
